They are pointless and you dont need them.
why are they pointless
RESIZE PIC PLEASE
they work only if you have upgraded the rest of your electrical system.....i.e. battery...alternator.....wiring.....try 2.0 farad at first...them improve on that to a second battery with an isolator to help support your system.....they have a purpose..but it's useless without the proper steps.....

before you upgrade your alt upgrade your big 3. If you are only running 1500 watts your stock should be able to handle it.
your big 3 are:
alternator to battery pos.
battery neg to frame
frame to engine block
after that, upgrade your battery to a gel cell or dry cell battery
then alternator
then additional batteries.
yeah i think im going to do the big three and get a svr battery

let me know what size svr you are going to get, I may be able to get one cheaper for you. I know I got my Stinger batteries cheap.
well wats better svr or stinger cause im also putting my air ride in and i might as well get a good battery b/c of the compressor

they are both good batteries, I'm just saying I can get them cheap
Yup...i meant pointless in his situation with only 1500 watts.Originally Posted by 4DRGSR

when you say this..you mean the gauge of wiring?... just wanting to check cause these are somethings i should do too.Originally Posted by BanginJimmy
Yes, you basically upgrade the current stock wiring in thoose locations. You dont have to remove the old stuff just add another larger wire run. Most people would be fine with a 4awg Big 3 upgrade. Some people choose to do 0awg, but im not convinced that large of wire is completely neccesary for most systems.Originally Posted by 5thgcelica
If you check out www.edesignaudio.com they have some Big 3 kits. They are slightly more than pieceing together all the wire and connectors yourself, but this way you know everything is included.
yea, you just want to upgrade the factory 10awg. depending on the size of your system, you either want to add a second run of 8,4,or 1/0Originally Posted by 5thgcelica

sweet thanks guys..ill probably go ahead and do a 4awg set up...probably dont need it now, but it wont hurt for down the road plans.

I have never personally used it, but i havent heard any real complaints from people I know that have it.
I use RAAMmat, check out www.raamaudio.com the owner Rick is a deadening genius, plus his prices are very very reasonable.
I havent used it personally either, but I have heard good things about it.
