budget, vehicle, what class do you want to compete in?

edit, do you know your resonant freq? do you want to true one note wonder, or something that can also play music? Have you made any upgrades to your electricl system?

BanginJimmy is right it is hard to give an accurate quote online, becasue of all the factors. If you want a true SPL box regular music will not sound good. If you are looking for the best of both worlds then there are alot of factors. To hit 144 is going to be tough in you price range. When you consider you will spend around 150 for a good box, that leaves you 450 for an amp. Depending on the sub, you will probably need a bigger amp than you can afford. 138-140 should definatly be possible. The best way to get all the anwsers is to go to a audio shop. If your intrested stop by I-MediaPro and we can talk more about you needs. If you need more info or directions go to our website.

quantum subs can get very loud in the right enclosure. if you want to play music out of it I would tun in the low to mid 40's but be sure you have a subsonic filter on it. I dont remember if the 81000d had one or not. I also dont know much about the tc, but a guy I know said he had one and it had pretty good cabin gain for a non-hatch car.
