    Default Car electronics - what cable?!?

    I have just recently bought some LED strips for my car but I do not know what cable I need to buy to run it off my 12v cigarette light. From what I beleive, I need twin core (red / black ) cable, but what amps? does it depend on the LED + resistors? i dont know?! heeelp

    LED's draw relatively low amounts of current; the amperage will be completely dependent on your setup. If the strips were designed for a 12V application then the packaging should specify the current draw. You shouldn't need anything more than 18g primary fused at 5A.
