I have a 97 Accord. I was wanting to get some prices on doing a custom install for my system. 2 Amps, 2 15's, and a cap. Some nice plexiglass or fiberglass work. Maybe even flush mounting. LMK what ya'll can do. Thanks.

I know my bother in law can do it. He will need to see your car and get a more accurate idea of what you want before he can quote it though. That goes for pretty much anything though. Where are you at?
im in lawrenceville
I'm out there everyday, but his shop is here in Dallas.
As weird as it sounds.. check out Mall of Georgias Hi Fi buys.. they do lots of custom shit.. most of the guys are on this forum.. CarbonGST,Boosteds60R, SmokinRR (there is one more but I cant remember his sn on here).. they will be doing and have been doing all my work in the Supra..

Try Audio Trix. they just did my friends corvette custom set up and it is bad ass they do really nice work they walled out behind the seats w/ 2 10 alpine type x's and then have plexiglass panels showin off his memphis amp w/ lights and shit 770-592-8828
www.audiotrixonline.com
are they very pricey??
how much u lookin to spend
Im not trying to get too fancy. Under $1000
you have all the equipment
I think you are going to be hard pressed to find a shop willing to even discuss fiberglass for under $1000. A lot of VERY VERY nice installs can be done without fiberglass, dont think that just becuase it isnt glass it has to be a simple carpeted box.
if you have all the gear, then just a glass and plexi box is going to cost about 500. then figure about 200 or so to install everything else.
Yea ive got all the gear already its in my car. I just need to get the plexiglass and get it redone know what im sayin?
then ill be good to go
i have all the equipment already installed in my car. I just wanna do somethin else with it because show season will be here soon. I said $1000 because im not tryin to get that serious just somethin simple and clean.
i got 2 15's in my accord and my box alone was 600 labor was well over 1000 on everything and its just regular wood and carpet and plexi
so might want to find someone that does work on the side cause the audio shops get u on labor
most shops charge between 50 and 70 an hour on labor and glass boxes are alot of labor, especially if you want it painted.
ill figure it out. I still need to get some ideas anyways.
a good friend of mine can do shit like that but he goes to school full time plus he works so he never has anytime
hows this
Good luck. Doing any type of glass work(painted) is going to set you back. Depends which way you go,wild-mild.Originally Posted by DP97ACCORDLX

my install everything with the equipment was about 4000 dollars but the equipment was expensive also the gold bimmer with equipment will run you about 6is if not more. so it all depends on how good you want to look and sound
i got a couple of differnt ppl i can refer you to. and ill asure you you will be pleased with your install
It looks real good, I like the install. Im gonna look around and price a few places and also get prices from your guys and decide what I wanna do. It's no rush but something im looking into.
best way is to have patience. things turn out better my install is still not wat i want ill prolly be changing some thing soon
yea exactly. Like i said im in no rush. I'm gonna take my time and really figure out what I want to do with it.
let me know if you get any quotes from anyone or some of your buddies at the audio shops
what kind of equipment do you have. its hard to just give a quote for 2 15's going into a accord. the box for the 2 15's has to be pretty much built into the car. im almost positive there is no premade box that will fit. another good thing to take into consideration is a sound dampining material. your whole trunk at the least should be covered or your going to hate the way your system sounds. also in the hondas based on experience the floor is real flimsy and that box is going to be heavy. you might have to give up ur spare tire and get a nice false floor. something that will flow with the box. were your going to put your amps how big yor amps are stuff like that. last but not least is material. capet, suede, vinyl, leather,. if you tell me exactly what you want i can call my buddy john he did my whole install. i can prolly get you a good deal. but just let me know
2 Platinum Series DB Drive Subwoofers, Rockford Fosgate Punch 800a2 Amp powering the subs. An Alpine V-Power 200w Powering my Interior Speakers and a Rockford Fosgate 1 Farad Digital Capacitor. The box I currently have is just a regular carpeted and vented box for 2 15's
does your box fit in your accord
yes my box fits
