Default HELP. OEM Sub wiring on 07 Civic Si

I just recently sold my jl sub and amp i had in my car. I have a 07 Si 4dr with the premium audio system bullcrap. My stock subwoofer has been turned off completely due to me previously having the JL. How do I get the stock sub to work again? I've included some pictures of how the audio shop rewired my stock sub. Is there a way I can just unhook some of these wires and my sub will magically come back on? PLEASE HELP! thanks.

That is a line out converter that they connected. It takes the signal going to your subwoofer and sends it to your amp using rca cables. Not sure why it would cause it to stop your sub from working though. I had the same setup so that I could use both my stock sub and aftermarket one.

    Removing it would not hurt.

It looks like you have a loose ground there also.

There is a a lot of tape, so no way to know exactly what they did. I would check that ground, the ground wire from the line out convertor is connected to it, but it also runs into the stock loom. So I would start with grounding that since looks to be stock ground wires that are no longer grounded.

Is the ground wire that little silver circle thing at the top of my trunk? Where should that be?

That is the line output converter. It should not stop your sub from working. That black ground coming out of it that is loose is also irrelevant, it is there for signal noise reduction but not necessary if you had no signal noise. (Alternator whine for example) I didnt see this in your post or this question asked but was an aftermarket radio installed?

No aftermarket radio is in my car or was. Everythings stock except for front components and an amp for that. But that has nothing to do with my sub i believe. So which line is my ground wire and is the ground wire the reason why my sub is not working? So that silver circle thing on the top of my roof of the trunk is not a ground wire?

Is that only the ground wire to the convertor? It looked like the wire from the convertor is combined with wiring going into the loom originally to me, which is why I said check it. However, if that is just twisted up and not connected to any other wire, then that is not. The other thing I would check is if the T-Taps possibly broke one of the stock wires and is no longer sending signal to the sub. Just disconnect the blue/red connector/tap and see if the wire is still connected. In the end, it could be 100 different things. I would call or take it by the original shop that performed the installation. If not local, take it to another shop.

You could allways hook the OEM to that amp back there, turn the gains wayyy down and put it on LPF, and go from there, you will get better sound quality and less distortion than the factory amplifier
