Default No radio reception in Honda Civic

I just installed an Alpine CDA-105 in my car(2000 Honda Civic). It already had an after market headunit installed but I needed an upgrade. I just followed what was already used on the harness. Everything works except the radio. All I get is static even with the antenna pulled all the way out. The antenna wire is plugged into the back of the headunit and fits snug so I dont know what it could be.

Anybody with experience have any ideas or maybe an extra wire I could have missed?

did you put it in the wrong hole?

there should not be any wire dealing with the antenna on your car. you sure it didn't get pulled out before you pushed the unit in the dash? thats the only thing i can think of

I know its plugged into the back of the head unit but maybe the adapter pulled loose from the oem piece? If there even has to be an adapter.

I pulled everything out and disconnected and reconnected the antenna...still nothing. Im thinking maybe there is a problem with the unit? Thats the only thing I can think of.

i'm guessing you don't want to have to splice all the wires back onto the civics harness adapter?
