Default Alarm install price am I getting a good deal?

I got a quote yesterday on a alarm to be installed on my 94 integra. I'm getting the viper 5701 ( special edition the pink one ) installed for 330. He said they will install the brain behind the dash so it would be hard for someone to get to off they tried to steal it. The 5701 is 2 way paging with remote start. I have never gotten a alarm installed in my cars before so I am not sure if this a good deal or not.

Compared to most shops, that is a good price. When I was selling those, we were doing them for $290 installed, but I do not sell the 5701 anymore.

it is only a good deal if you get the revised piece. The original production run of the LE alarms were all recalled for having faulty remotes. Make absolutely sure you get a revised piece.

Also, it doesn't matter what type of alarm you get, it will only be as good the quality of the install.

+1. the first gen of those were a nightmare. remotes randomly arming/disarming, not working when supposed to.

    LMAO.

Well, since you just completely erased the security part of the system, I would say it's not worth it.
