I'll cut you some slack since you don't know me, but I have been in the industry for nearly 15 years now, and know all the major players out there, most of them personally. On top of that I am in the SQ and SPL lanes at competitions and I can tell you without a shadow of a doubt that both RE and Atomic are barely represented if at all. Take that as an indictment on the "quality" of those subs. And before you spout back off that I still don't know what I am talking about, I have the state and world championships to back it up. . .

The RE slime line sub is said to be the best all around sounding slim line sub by George Woo the owner of Atomic. And for a person who makes some of the best subs on the market to call another company's sub the best when he himself makes a slim line sub is saying something.
Yeah, I don't think I need to waste the time on this again. . . .

For a single 12 the sub costs around 250 shipped lol. I know the pioneer can be bought for around 150 ish. The sub is by no way the cheapest and with shallow mount subs you really do get what you pay for.
I do agree with you here. You do get what you pay for. That said I have installed all the major slim subs, RE, RF, Pioneer, Kicker, JL, Memphis; and I would take the JL and Memphis over the RE everyday of the week. But honestly, I could fit an Arc KS series sub in the same space as this and get a better low end frequency responce and it would cost less, so that is the route I would go.
