Nguyen: The Memphis 16-MC5-1600 does 1100-watts at 1-ohm, and 4x75 on the front 4 channels. I "think" that is the model you are thinking of....which is a pretty awesome amp, by the way.

If you dont want/need that much power, then there is also the MC5.700, which is 50x4 and 400x1, and a bit less money.

I would also throw into consideration, depending on the sub, the Arc Audio 900.6, which is 60x4 and 550x1.

thats a great amp although probably not quite so for the $400 he's actually asking. $300 then i would do it and push 1 single big ass 12 like a w7, mojo, or dd

yeah i know 400 is expensive for a v1. i'm also looking at a 10w7 for 300 bucks. will i need another amp to power my speakers if i run the 1000/1?

yeah i'm running a stock h/u. we did the math at audio unlimited and it's way to expensive because of all the crap with the onstar and other controls on my steering wheel so i'm keeping it for now.

i'm really just deciding if i want the Memphis 16-MC5-1600 or buy a used JL 1000/1 and then a smaller amp for my speakers. leaning more towards memphis on this one.

if you wanted to go big with a bi-amped system (amp for the highs, and amp for the subs) you could use that JL OEM interface to make things all work with your stock H/U. granted, that probably ends up being more than just paying for a new h/u, but it IS an option lol
    Who knows?

    haha sounds expensive and unnecessary.

and yerrow i was looking through the catalog and Memphis doesn't make the 1600 it's the, 16-MC5-1400 same specs though.

That will only be discussed with people ready to buy with cash in hand. I do not want to put other companies business out there.
