    Default New to audio/video got a few ?

    ive installed speakers and headunits in all my cars but now for my new car im going to invest in a complete system. i dont want everyone to hear me coming down the block id like enough bass for good music and the occasional dvd. what amp and box should i run? sealed? ported?

    Its a 99 bmw 540i im running a

    jvc el kameleon flip out

    infinity refernce 5020cs 5 1/4 speakers front and rear.

    infinity reference 1250w 12" 1200w 4 Ohm

    Personally, I like the sound of a well built sealed box versus a ported box. SOme application fair better with ported, some not.

    Getting bass from the trunk of your car is a bit more difficult than some cars. The BMW is a well built car.

    For the amplifiers, I would suggest betting as much CLEAN power as you can afford. Headroom is a great thing to have.

    yeah i just want quality sound more than big bass. after reading more i was thinking a sealed box and a infinity reference 300/4 channel amp
