best to wire them up as 1 ohm. there so you have 1000w rms, going into subs that can handle a total of 1200w rms. now where my reps at.? lol.

on the amp listed above there 2 positive and 2 negative wire inserts. where I connect the speaker wire to the amp. does it matter which hole I use. I remeber with a two channel there is usually a line showing what two to use. any help will earn reps. this the last step to my project.
Just pick 2. It is a mono amp and has 2 sets of terminals to make wiring easier.
Okay. I did that. but not getting any power out of them. can't even get a spark. Now I got a spark once but not again. is there anything that I might have laying around the house that would test to see if there is power comming out of them. also do the rca's need to be hooked up for me to test the speaker terminals. I'm starting to think I got screwed on this deal.
test the subs first, take a 12v drill battery and pop each coil. in other words take the +/- and see if it pops once u feed 12v to it, if so subs should be good, the proper way to do it is to have a meter and see if each coil reads 4ohms. if the subs are fine and ur amp powers up but has no out put then the amp is fried.

you need to have the RCA's hooked up.
Are you sure the amp is getting power?
Are you sure you have the remote wire hooked up correctly?
yes sir. I can see the power to the amp turn on when I turn on my head unit. and I tried both rca's hooked up and unhooked. I think the thing that my speakers terminals are hooked to is shot. going to take the amp to a rockrod dealer on monday.
have you used a volt meter to make sure the amp is getting enough power? your fuse could be loose or blown on the power wires. take your volt meter and test to make sure the amp is getting 12v+. then test to make sure the remote wire is getting a signal. if all that is good, take the subs out of the box and check the wiring to the terminal cups and hook the speaker wire straight to the subs

how do I test the rca plugs
just take the amp to a repair place. what will happen if you take it to a Rockford dealer they will tell you, oh yea we bench tested it and its shot, buy a new one, we have a real good deal on these amps.blah blah blah take it to a electronic repair, i use repair solutions in Marietta. he checks and see's what is wrong then he calls you and tells u how much it will cost.
