Default about to redo my system

currently i have a tsunami 4gauge wiring kit with tsunami 4 gauge battery terminals going to a tsunami 2farad capacitor. mtx thunder elite 801d amp and mtx dual 7512 sledgehammer loaded enclosure. also have mtx components in the front doors and coaxials in the back running off a thunder elite 404 amp. pioneer premier 780mp head unit with tsunami rca's. i previously had the car gutted and sold the rear seats and rear carpet and everything. so when i put the system in, i need something to set the subs on. cut this board just to fit in there and keep the subs sitting on something; so dont hate because of it. i know it doesnt fit great, and thats getting changed.

I just swapped all my engine bay grounds to tsunami 4 gauge and tomorrow im ordering 100' of kicker 12gauge speaker wire and a 1/0awg kicker hyper flex wiring kit. also scooped some tsunami 1/0awg battery terminals. the car is getting completely re-wired with speaker wire going into the doors. also going to add a lot more dynamat to the doors and trunk. in the next couple months, im hoping to order a rear seat delete and new audio equipment. im getting an mtx thunder elite 1501d and 2 mtx thunder square 8512s. Then im going to get another optima yellow top to go in the trunk and build a custom box for the subs. Then new carpet is going in.

If I would had seen this in time I would have told you to save yourself some cash and order your wiring stuff from knukonceptz. I also have a boatload of speaker wife I would have sold you cheap, along with some 1/0 wire.

today i put the new battery terminals on, ran 4 gauge wire to the starter, alternator, fuse box, and abs relay box. 1/0gauge was ran to the back and i changed all my chassis grounds to 4ga along with one 1/0 ground from the battery to the chassis.

tonight i started on the rear seat delete and cutting the boards for the box. i only had about an hour before i ran out of daylight, and i dont have a garage so once its dark, thats it. i didnt take any pics of the boards for the box, but here's a cell phone shot of the progress on the rear seat delete. obviously the boards will be together with no gap and carpeted, but that gives you a general idea

very nice. its nice to see something done right... what did you use to make that board for the trunk? i cut mine out of 3/4" MDF. holds up pretty well, then i used some spray adhesive to hold the factory carpet on it.

Definitely looking like a fun project. I love MTX stuff. My 1872812369'th setup was with 6 MTX thunder 5500 12's and started out with one 1501d, but toasted it. Then stepped into three 801d's. That was a long time ago though. I wanted to chime in to say don't get a yellow top. Buy a kinetik battery. I currently have two for sale for 275 negotiable each. Battery Capacitors from Kinitik come second to none. You won't find a better battery. Hell you could run the whole car off of one 2400, which is what I have. Had three total. Paid about 400 each.

Tore it all out. I still have one more BTL for sale....The amps are all for sale, even the four channel for the speakers. Already sold the mids and highs, and one battery. But have two batts left. It is all in the for sale section. Selling the radio too. Was going to do 16-P3 12's in there, but I am holding off for a little bit right now.

today i painted the ports and carpeted the box except for the sides (ran out of material). i left a little carpet overhand on the sub holes because it should help seal them up.
