    Default Alarm help...

Installing an alarm/keyless on my 07 f150 5.4 crew cab. Anyone know of an easier spot to catch the power locks without going to the bcm in the back of the truck?
I located the wires listed from audiovox at the switch but they dont show any activity when lock/unlock is pushed. Its listed as pink/yellow and pink/green and they are listed as a negative pulse door lock system.

I could spend more time looking but I am already agravated bc it wont program transmitters. I guess my last car shorted it out when the battery went dead...... If no one knows I can find out tomm. when I go see my boy at Omega to swap out the brain. Thanks.

    -Brandon

cut a piece of wire you have laying around and ground it out. then touch it to the wires you think are the door locks. if it is, they will unlock or lock depending which one you touch. my integra was really weird and the unlock wasnt where it was supposed to be. i had to use this method to find which wire it was in the harness.

you can find lock and unlock on the drivers side runner harness going to the rear of the vehicle without tearing the ass end of the truck apart

Thats not a very good method. Thats a good way to pop fuses of even worse, burn something up. Always test the wires or trace them back from where they begin and end.

Thanks and you are correct. I got a sheet from Directed, Audiovox and Omega and compared. The 2 original wires I listed were in fact the same wires. The ground pulses were just to fast to register on my meter. I wrapped it up yesterday afternoon and everything works great.

I installed a K-9 classic-E with the 2-way lcd pager and a RS-4LX slave remote start system. I intergrated the two and works like a champ! Hella range.
