Default alpine type r vs. jl audio w6v2 10 in sub

im looking to get a 10in single sub for my 350z. which would you prefer also what is a good amp to run.

i have looked at some alpine higher end amps and jl 500/1 amps.

sub wise i want good quality sound with the ability to go loud. more quality than anything.. i also have the option to go 2 10s but i am choosin 1 10.

price range is under 1k for equipment and install

10w6v2 on a 500/1 hands down IMO owns the sq is great and get low and loud. I've worked with both and the 10w6v2 just is tighter 2 me in SQL

W6v2 is by far the better sub. Port it and tune it low with 500-600wrms of clean power and you will be extremely happy.

you just need to build a box then. Its really no big deal. All it will cost is $45 in wood, screws, glue and carpet.

alpine type r 10 paired with a hifonics 1000W monoblock amp would be perfect.

JL audio **** is way too overpriced.

haha If only JL was the best! You are just going to blow a lot of money to have a pretty average sounding system. Beyond that, I have no faith in JL amps and you will surely at some point have problems as everyone does.

There are a tons of companys putting out far better products much cheaper than JL. JL is all name and nothing else. So if you actually care where your money is going and what your system sounds like, don't even bother.

I would personally suggest T3 Audio over the Alpine or JL, but if those are your only two choices then I agree with everyone else that the Alpine is garbage.
