Default Question about an Alpine stereo

I have just put an Alpine stereo (model #CDA-9884) in my 2001 Mitsubishi Eclipse. It is wired up to the Amp up under the seat and 2 15" Soundstorm subs and a Ample Audio Amp. I have adjusted all of the settings on the stereo or at least I think I have. The problem is the subs are just barely thumbing and I don't know what is causing this. When I had the factory stereo wired up they were Hitting hard and now there not. If anyone knows what might be causing this please let me know.

All the alpines i've owned with the exception of the newest one I have always put out a lot less bass in the signal compared to some of the other radios I've owned.

Yeah there is. I have it set where there is nothing but bass coming through the subs and it is turned up all the way.

were your subs rewired on your amp. also check what preout voltage you have it probaly says on the cd player. and some amps have an input sensitivity setting. how do you have the 15's hooked up? bridged or stereo?

No the subs were not rewired. It has 3 preouts (2V). I'm not real sure about the input sensitivity setting. I'll check that tomorrow and let you know. Also the subs are Stereo.

2v pre-outs ftl. check your sub output settings on the alpine head unit and make sure on the amp you have it set for low input. i would check your amp settings. where is the low pass filter set? put it around 80. if you have it too low <50 , then you wont get any bass hardly.

Make sure your subwoofer setting on the head unit is up, and check the tuning on the amp. What are your settings on the amp?
