Please retype that in english. You want to know how to get your subs down to 1/2 ohm? First question is, is your amp 1/2 ohm stable? What is the ohm load on your subs? Are they dual voice coil?

mmats have a line of amps stable to 1/2 ohm. I was running my XXX's off a d3000.05.

Also the US Amps VLX series amps were stable down to 1/4 ohm.

that amp is 2000 watts at 1 ohm and 1600 watts at 2 ohms, but let me know if your sub is a dual 2 or a dual 4. i highly doubt that amp is stable at 0.5ohms.

just wire up the subs individually in paralell then to the amps.

Also have the subs in seperate enclosures to prevent any possible damage to them.

.5 ohm is so close to a short circuit so the amp will more then likely run a lil hot so u might wanna get a cooling fan from my experience with running amp lower then 1 ohm

I love my USA AMPs...I got the in early 2000...back when Jack owned the company in Florida....MUCH different than now.

Perhaps the amps might be "slightly" modified.
My US 50HC (rated at 25x2) will do nearly 1500 at 0.5 ohms. I have even fed them as high at 17.3 volts at one pont with no issues. 17.4 volts, however, was a problem.

wouldnt that be considered a cheater amp by current rules?

I know I did a clash of titans event a couple years ago and I tried to get into the class for 300-500 watts at 4 ohm but the asshats wouldnt let me cause someone heard me talking to another guy and told that I was running 2500 watts. Either way, I damn near won the bracket racing and walked away with 3 trophies. 2 first places and a second. That show was funny because I was only 6 db below a full out SPL truck running 6 15's in a wall and nearly 12k watts.

If anyone wats them they are for sale.

Sort of....even then, I competed in the Pro ranks, so we could modify equipment. So, by todays rules, it might be "cheating" in some classes and organizations, but it was not for me back then.

Back in 1997(ish)...High current amps were the rage. Jack at US Amps was buying parts for his amps from the company I worked for, Streetwires, so we had a good relationship. I was one of the first to have the Streetwires X-14 battery system (isolator, alternator, regulator, and battery pack), which was capable of over 17 volts...we tried the amps at 16.5 volts input, and went up from there. They gave out around 17.1, and we reworked the insides a bit with larger caps and such...this happened a few times, until we settled on 17.3 votls (or somwhere near there).

I still have the 3 amps, as well as the electronic crossover....

we've all tried the same thing.. did that with a cheater amp and high volt alternators.. told the judge stock rubbed grease all on the newer one lol 350 alt. and 300-500 but my lil cousin who was 8 at the time said wat about the amp under the box..... (****) so they put me in a different class.. still won the south carolina division for mid size sedan... damn i miss the cavalier

you can skip the cap as it will do nothing more than add another draw on your alternator. instead get yourself a HO alt and upgrade your big 3.

    big 3 are:
    Alternator to battery wire
    Battery to engine block
    engine block to chasis

upgrading those wires with a heavier gauge will increase the efficiency of your current charging system.

I have 1/0 and you don need anything that big.

But I'll sell it for $4 a foot. It will typically cost about 6.
