I want to remove a JVC head unit that came with the car from my dash so that I can install my new pioneer, but I'm not quite sure how to get it to come out of the sleeve without tearing up the dash, since I don't have keys for it. Suggestions?

take the face ring off and slide a REALLY REALLY small flat head screw driver into the slots on both sides, dont really need much pressure just something to push the metal away from the unit
