    Default 03 Acura TL

Just bought a 2003 Acura TL and im needing some advice. I would like to do a completely custom audio setup, but im unsure on the best way to wire the amps (rca jacks) in. The car is equiped with a Bose sound system and i would like to add my 2 10" Rockford P1s and 800watt SpL amp.

Just wanted to know if anyone has delt with this before and if you may have any advice. I used one of the rca boxes in my tundra, but no matter where i wired it in the truck the engine noise kept transmitting through to my subs. Anyone who can help me with any of these things would be greatly appreciated.

    Reps for help

    Thanks

I could do the system for you but b4 you do all of that you wanting a custom setup would go best to replace the head unit it self.. them replacing all the door speakers and rear speakers because bose systems have individual amps on there speakers and line out converters are ok only if you get the good ones.. not the wal mart cheap ones.. never run your RCA on the same side as your power... that might have been your ground noise... so you just want the 10's and the amp.. no head unit

Just do a amp by-pass and it will sound good. if im not mistaken the 03 tl has 2 amp in the car the main bose amp is behind the radio and the sub amp is the back right of the trunk and you have to take the rear seats to access it. I remember doing a aftermarket radio in one and the customer wanted to keep the factory sub so i have to run rca and splice them in to the bose sub amp so he could have sub controls on his pioneer. Either way its a easy car to do and doesnt most much to get it to sound good.

    Check out these

    Rockford Fosgate 3sixty.1 or .2

    or

    Audio Control LC6,LC7.LC8

you can use any of these products to get RCA outputs
and yes there are cheaper ways to do it, But take the High road!!
