Yes....depeing on the power and appliction you will be using it in.

I have won 2 national sound quality championships with those subs (10-inch versions)...also, 4 of them hit over 150dB in my Eclipse...so they can get loud also...

you can make almost any suub get loud with the right box and setup. But do they sound good???
