Usually, if you use a good wiring kit you shouldn't need an upgraded battery or a higher amp alternator. If you use cheap small gauge wire and a crappy ground...you will have issues. The flip side of that is if you hook up multiple amps that need a ton of power going to them....of course you'd need to upgrade your electrical system.
