    Default protection light on amp?

what are some reasons a power portection light will come on a amp? my subs are kickers and they have dual voice coils and are 2ohm's each.
i have the amp bridged and if i try to run both subs the amp wont allow it,but it worked pretty good with only one hooked up until today.the protection light came on and i have checked all my wiring and i cant get it to go off.
    yes i am....

sometimes when you do your ground it doesnt get a good connection. try taking a grinder to where you are grounding it to get any paint/debris off. if that doesnt work it could be an over load on the amp to push them both or try not bridging them.

    reasons for prtotection:
low voltage, could be bad ground, too small guage of wire, or a bad connection
load protection, could be too low of resistance from a bad coil
overheating, probably not this if its lasted for a while already.
