    Default Prices on Audio Install

I want to see if any of the reps from the shops would like to quote an install for me. I do not live close to most of the shops (Covington, GA), but I need to get an install done. I don't have time to go to tons of shops to spend an hour only to get a half assed broad quote. I have most of my equipment already.

    Car:
    2005 Chrysler 300 Signature Series

    Equipment already purchased:
    (2) JL Audio 13w7s
    (1) JL Audio 1000/1 amp
    (1) JL Audio 450/4 amp
    (1) set of MB Quart QSD 216 2 -way Component System (6.5", 1", Crossover)
    (1) set of MB Quart PCE 216 2 -way Component System (6.5", 1", Crossover)
Factory Head Unit (Premium Sound System, 6-disc in dash with Navi)

I will need to purchase wires, power infrastructure (batteries/caps or whatever is suggested), and another JL Audio 1000/1 amp. I can get the JL 1000/1 for $600, so I'm not willing to pay much more than that.

I would like to keep the factory head unit in place for this setup.

My main concern with the install is that it POUNDS. The overall sound quality and bass of the system is more important than the looks to me. However, I want a professional looking install. I'm open to all opinions on this, any ideas welcomed.

If you would like to PM me your prices and availability, I will respond accordingly. Also if you have any reference pictures or people from this board that would be appreciated. Thank you in advance.

I PMd you back Grnblr. I don't really want to go with an aftermarket head unit, because mine is already well integrated, navi works perfect and it already sounds great. I don't know how you go about keeping a good sound in there, but i know there must be some option.

You have to ask someone who actually owns a 300.

It will work fine with the factory nav head unit. I'm not sure what setup you have from the factory, but I'm assuming it one of the two with a factory amp( BA6 or BA8) . You can pick up the pre-amp signal with a converter and still have steering wheel controls and bluetooth (if you have those options)

Here is some reading material that shows what wires to tap into: http://www.300cforums.com/forums/car...-upgrades.html

If you are going to pick up the signal before, the amp, I would suggest some type of signal processor because you will loose that function as well as the ability to fade front-to-rear because these functions are handled by the amp and the can-bus system.

    Hope this helps.

It all ranges. However, you will get to know you car better if you do it yourself. It is not that difficult.... Really, you can do it and please use the best interconnects you can afford as it really does make a difference.
