    Default Tax Return Benefits?

    What is the benefit or is thier a difference in the amount you get if your married and file either Joint or Seperate?

    Each year Leisa and I file Joint but we realized last year that if we filed seperate but married each of us might get more of a refund back this year since our combined income wont bring it down so much.

    So what is the reason we can file joint or seperate? Is thier a benefit of filing married but seperate?

    Well, I'm an accountant but instead of taking the time to type it all out... this article explains it all pretty damn well. Besides, I'm walking out the door right now. I'll be glad to answer further questions later though.
