New orleans gets hurricanes buyt not hurricanes that made that much rain and that much wind.. that was only the second time, so why are u all acting like it happens every year?

how about another example, what about in lebanon and in Iraq, a month or so ago therer where thousands of americans trapped in hostile areas, should they have been helped? Even tho they knew what is goin on over there.
Not saying people should not be helped. We need to find a better way of helping people.

In reference to Katrina families, I see it this way.....

Before the storm:
1. People who heeded the storm warnings and evacuated.
2. People who heeded the storm warnings and went to storm shelters.
3. People who ignored the storm warnings and stayed in their houses.

I have no sympathy for group #3. They are stupid. They were risking their lives, their families lives, and the lives of the rescue workers that have to go find them.

After the Storm:
1. People who move back to New Orleans.
2. People who re-locate to another part of the country.
3. Scam artist, people like in the OP of this thread.

I have a problem worrying about the people in group #1, as they now know the risks first hand. No excuses later.

I think the people in group #3 should die.
