I'm working for a company called Lear Seigler Inc, but there are tons of other companies overseas also. Halliburton, KBR, Parsons, etc...
Here are some good links to get started for anyone interested.

last year in Iraq, I fixed military vehicles ranging from Humvees to HETT's. Pretty cool stuff. this year I'll be going back as an HVAC mechanic. But they have logistics positions, clerical, communications, security, everything under the sun.

Oh, and it is called "contract" work, because it is one contract at a time, my company signs you up for a year long contract, some are 6 months, etc...

Hell, there is even a company that hires for Antarctica!

not all of them require degrees, I don't have a degree, and this will be my second year. You just have to check back regularly. especially with the Iraq jobs, there are plenty of entry level positions that don't require a degree. For example working warehouse, as a mechanic, a welder, or HR associate.
But the fact remains that the original poster does have a degree, and in maintenance, so it should be a perfect fit.
