    Default has anyone seen.........

the Spike Lee documentary on Katrina?

please tell me your thoughts. im intrested. i thought it was outstanding! its was very simple and too the point of what has happened. not only that he captured important things but he also captured an eye from the pple in it and told their story of what they experienced for each day. and then added his own touch to it as how he saw it from his eyes.

It was real sad. After all these years we(as in African Americans) still are treated and looked at as animals in some beings live's.

I think what happened was a travesty. I think that the people of that entire region were devistated, and they need help from their country as well as this country's leaders...
I think that there were a lot of mistakes made by people in charge, and it caused a lot of people suffering. I watched the documentary, and could not help but notice the expression on the old ladies face that they evacuated in the helicopter. She was smiling from ear to ear, just happy to be alive. I think that everyone that survived that tremendous disaster should feel the same way!
I think it's sad/pathetic that a hurricane that virtually wiped out the entire gulf coast, has been turned into a race issue...

statements like that preputate the problem.

people should stop and take a look around and smell the bull shit their standing in. I'm going to make a thread b/c I'm about to get off topic.
but to stay on this topic, I think it's neat how the people in the flim didn't mention(maybe once or twice) the wonderfull mayor and governor. how they did NOTHING BEFORE THE STORM THAT THEY NEW WOULD FUCK EVERYTHING UP! and how gov Blanco told FEMA when they asked to come in and help that she didn't want their help. I wonder why you don't hear that more on the news?
