I used to be asst manager there for about a year. I worked there with Chris Ellinwood. We used to get this guy that came in from time to time. He was a black guy taht drove like a 1991 Toyota Corrola. He used to come in EVERY OTHER SATURDAY without fail an would ask if we carried cams, header, etc for his car. I was always polite an just told him that we didnt carry anything an that he would have to go to probably a website or company that specialized in his particular make an model. then 2 weeks later he would come back an ask "did you guys get anything in for my car?". it went on for some time. I tried to tell him that the aftermarket companys prob werent rushing to bring new parts out for that car cause it just wasnt popular.
Me an Chris ended up moving on an we quit, an then Jesse an Brent (OBD1KENOBI) started working there. we used to joke about how they were breaking the "chains" of racism by being the first 2 black employees there.
well, one day the guy with the corrola comes in, an says
Corrola Dude: "damn, its about time they hired some brothas up in here. those crackers kept telling me that they didnt sell anything for my car."
Brent:"what are you lookin for?"
Corrola Dude: "headers"
Brent "what kinda car you got ?"
Corrola Dude: "1991 Toyota Corrola"
Brent "man, them crackers werent lying bro"
