    Default protesting at funerals

what is everyone's take on protesting at fallen soldiers funerals. saw it a little while back and now again on the news this morning. I think it is bullshit that people are doing this. If people don't agree with the war and our actions over there by all means protest but pick and choose on where you do it. But don't do it at funerals. That is the time and place for the family and friends to heavily reflect on how proud they are of there loved one.

Yes some people might say it is the 1st Amendment right but they would not a right if it were for soldiers throught out history fighting for them have and to keep that right. All I ask is that they respect them as people first and don't hate them cuase there soldiers.

People don't protest at firemans funerals or pretty much anyother section that protect them.

Becuase actually we are all soldiers when you have enlsited, signed a public service oath or what not. We all fight the War on Terror. So are they going to protest at the own brothers funeral.

What is your take on this?

I say that when one of the protestors dies, we go and rally at their funeral and proceed to stop on their graves.

    Okay, not really.

The way that some of these anti-war activists are acting is repulsive. What was the name of that psycho-b*tch that camped out in front of the white house? That was retarded and even her husband divorced her because she's stupid. If you're against the war, fine. If you're for the war, that's fine too. But don't go parading your stand like you're God on a high horse. I'm really getting sick and tired of hearing about people whining and crying because our troops are doing what they're made to do. Do I think we should have stormed into Iraq? No. But I do believe that since we're there, that we need to finish what we started.

That's me. I was in a scout platoon but got medically discharged when my back got injured. Something about relocating my spine permanently or something along those lines. Destroyed my entire career plan I had laid out since my family has been military since...well, forever. Either way, glad to see another serviceman on here.

those people are fucked up to do such a thing like that. that's so disrespectful for the soldier and the fallen soldier's family. lastly, thanks Ran Kizama for your service to this country. i have always believe that rather you support the war or not, always support our troops and their families.

yeah same here. I got props for all you guys who serve and i dont care if someones against/for the war, the president, or wtf ever but support OUR TROOPS. For all you people that bitch about your rights to whatever, you need to realize that without our servicemen and women protecting your rights, our country would be fucked. If you dont support our troops, by all means, feel free to jump off a cliff or go to canada. One of my good friends (and i also have two cousins over there) is in Iraq right now and after some of the shit hes gone through over there, all the people bitching should be glad they are here.

Good luck to all you servicepeople.

If I was a member of the fallen soldiers family, and these fuckers tried to push there anti-war agenda at his funeral, I would of most likely gone to jail... That is just very thoughtless and rude... As if being anti-usa is bad enough, your going to do it at a fallen service members funeral? fuck that.
