I think it's funny in an ironic way. I mean, the guy nails his friend...and I know Cheney's a big Second Amendment guy.
They seemed to hush this up though.
^ not really, its been on the news programs i've seen.
yea i dont think you can hush shooting someone in the face too well

It was an accident, a pure accidnet. This happens alot, it's not the first time a hunter has been out of place. The fuckin media is going to have a hay day with story but the other what 50 people or so a year that this happens to will get no press at all. Fuck the media or anyone else who dwells on this issue, it was an accident big fuckin deal. Worry about something else in your own life.
anybody here been bird hunting?Originally Posted by pharm_teg

This issue is why it took almost 24 hours for the Whitehouse to release the news. Accidents don't just "happen" in the politcial arena. Political figureheads are held to a higher stand as any citizen would expect. VP Cheney had the executive power to release the information at his own will in turn shutting down the rumors of a cover-up.

Who cares if he waited to release the information. What does that mean, nothing at all. Actually I am not a hunter at all but common sense would be to stay behind the man with the gun or at least make sure he knows I am there. This is a classic example of the media blowing a situation up. If the headline stated Cheney shoots man in head with a 9mm then yes there would be some explaining to do but a man being shot with a 26 gauge bird shot while hunting birds is not an uncommon incident. Cheney is a human being and he made a hunting mistake, big fucking deal. Time to move on to something that actually matters.
^indeed^. I think it's just th "Press" trying to be (and succeding) pricks and rag on the pres.Originally Posted by NEONRACER
