Default Read the whole thing b4 responding...

Cindy Sheehan is right to do what she wants.

And these are my personal reasons for believing this:

    • It's the United States of America, and we have the Freedom of Speech.
    • prop·a·gan·da ( P ) Pronunciation Key (prp-gnd)

      n.
      • The systematic propagation of a doctrine or cause or of information reflecting the views and interests of those advocating such a doctrine or cause.
    • So, are we prohibiting Freedom of Speech in a written down manner ( writing on a shirt), but supporting in a verbal manner? 'cause the President gave a pretty long propaganda speech that we're calling the State of the Union (and btw, that was also written b4 he read it).
    • And lastly, I want to mention, I don't personally agree with all of her opinions and her choices, BUT, that doesn't give me or anyone else (IMHO), ANY reason to insult "Ad hominem". Like it or not, agree or not, you have to recognize that this person is working for what she believes in, so don't critize her, critize her ideas.
Like I said b4, these are my . I'm sure some/most/none/all will have different opinions, but I really wanted to put mine out there in this matter.

    Thanks for reading.

The congressman's wife was also thrown out and she was wearing a pro war shirt. I think you are taking freedom of speech a little too far....freedom of speech does have it's limitations. People want to stand so tall behind Freedom Of Speech, but what right have they earned to mis use it? Cindy Sheehan is far from a model US Citizen. If she wants to change things, then do it. Run for congress. She didnt, she backed down, because she knows no one in their right mind would support her. She just wants to run her gums and get the attention she so desperately needs. In all honesty, in a few years no one will remeber her name. If she is right and has so many supporters, what happened to her at her book signing? She needs to use what is called "better judgement" and think before she speaks.

What makes her so special that she has to visit and speak with President Bush again? I mean, she already got to meet him when he gave condolences about the loss of her son, and she didnt say anything then? Why the uproar months later after meeting him the first time? There are PLENTY of families that are upset about the loss of their family member who served in the military, but they understand in WAR, people die.

She is wrong to sue, because she was forwarned in advance to not wear any offensive clothing, but she did anyway. The Police or Security had every right to kick her out, because it was a private event and only limited to political members, so if she violated ANY of the rules they may have placed upon her, they can boot her at any moment. I mean, they could have said, no red ties, and if she wore one, out she goes.

I feel she's just grasping for any last attention that she can get, so she's gotta always cause some trouble.

^^You make many good points. My issue was with the insults not the critiques. I don't agree with much of what she says, but reading ppl say things like she's shaming her dead son, that's just wrong. Not you (and if this is different please let me know 'cause I want to talk to my dead grampa), or I, know how he feels, only he does so keep your comments to yourself on that matter. As for everything else, crucify her opinions, not her, for she has done many unuseful things, and even counter-productive to her cause, yet she's still a person and she deserves a minimum of respect. Like I said tho, that's my opinion.

She's a person, but a stupid one. If she did something that was remotely positive to her cause, then I would probably be a little more understanding, but everything to this point has been the case of getting in front of the camera.

I mean, EVERYONE knows you do not go up to the whitehouse gate and grab it. She knew it, just did it so she could get on tv and when she got arrestted she would say they man handled her. Thanks to the wonderful media though, the video showed nothing but courtesy from the officers and everything was done to proper procedure.
