yea they really cant do anything to you. my neighbors use to complain all the time because of all the noise me and my friends make, ie car stereos (once had a guy walk from three streets over to complain), firecrackers, my lack of an exhaust, all kinds of crap. they stopped though when me and my friends played airsoft in the street in front of my house though. havent heard a word since then .

Actually, your wrong... My mom is actually in the HOA for our neighborhood (it sucks). But they can legally tow your car away (i've seen it happen) if you fail to pay any of there fines/fees...

They can also put a lien on your house for any unpaid fines. I see it all the time at work...people get fined for stupid shit, they say the same thing you guys are saying "they're just an HOA...all they can do is complain, but can't do anything to me", then the people try to refinance or sell their house & can't do it without paying the fine. If the HOA wants their money, they can & will get it.
