Something That I've always thought about
Do you know any American Indian people personally? By that i mean actually Native Americans (The "Real" Authentic Americans) Not to be confused with those of South Asian Indian Decent.
I personally know 0. I only know people with Cherokee "in" them, not full blooded Native American!
I know a great amount of the population reside within the reservations which says alot about the population itself.

i don't know any FULL blooded but you will find many mix white/indian in the south

my great-grandmother was full blooded Cherokee.
I was born in the US my parents were born in the US, and many of my friends and their paernts were born in the US. We all speak English and contribute to society via taxes and other means.
I am a "Native American". I don't care what anyone else says. I've never pillaged a foreign land nor have I killed any "Indians". I'm not going to take responsibility for something people did 200+ years ago.

I had quite a few friends in Oklahoma City that were mixed with Indian. Most had either a parent or grandparent that was full-blooded Indian, so it wasnt one of those great great great great uncle on my cousins side type things.
I went to school with plenty when I was in high school, they were full blood Alaskan Native though. To be honest they were treated 10 times worse than any race I've seen right now. Even if whites and blacks did not get along for some strange reason they could agree that neither of them liked natives.

lol "Alaskan Native" is the politically correct term, kind of like the difference between saying African American rather than saying Black. I never really paid much attention either way, the ones I went to school with tried to start an eskimo "gang" up there running around putting graffiti on fences and what not.. its too cold for that sh*t.

well my moms mother's side is Cherokee and they all live in north carolina. Native americans really have a tough life, most are on drugs or alcohilics.
Natives are treated like shit in Canada, and some places here in the u.s. too
