So I would try talking to the solictor, or judge of where ever you received the felony!
grand prix.....
Yeah but I have heard many people state that you can petion the Gov. of your state for a pardon or even I have heard of having a Sate Superior JUdge being able to expunge the crime if sentence has been served.
Yea you MIGHT be able to get it sealed(ie if they do a background check it will come up as an arrest, doesnt say what for or what you got). It will never be gone,if someone really wants to know about your past they can find it. Unless you plead "first offender" and after your probation its gets erased.
YEA...IM AN ASSHOLE
Even if it is sealed...it still shows up. Even if you plead first offenders, it still shows up. It just shows up as "sealed" or "first offenders" it never totally disappears.
I would contact a lawyer and ask him but I think it is there for life
Yeah I have heard all that but I know there has been many movements of recent years for convicted felons at a young age to gain their rights back and have there records expunged. Also I have heard of petioning the Govenor of the state for a pardon which would remove a conviction or arrest from your record completlty.
yea I need to get a gun permit again.. this is a good topic, I hope there is a way to get this removed.. how would you petition the gov though??
there is a way to get it gone my uncle has a gun permit by the state and he was once a felon I think he had got a pardon from the gvt. I remember him having to get a lot of paperwork signed from the county and city he lived in as well if he wasnt such a dick head id call and ask him.
haha loser
I wouldn't think if you plead out or got convicted that the Gov. would be willing to wipe the slate clean. I may be wrong, but I always thought felonies would follow you forever.
I know someone who had a felony arrest, not even a conviction, from more than 20 yrs ago and it still shows up as an arrest. He was completely exonerated and his record was supposed to have been exponged, and it wasn't.
I think it's kinda sticky to get out of a felony w/o a first offender plea and time served.
When did u get the charge if u were a minor at 18 u can clear all of it I know its cuz I got 3 felonys at age 15 and when I turn 18 which was about a year ago I went to court and they clear it up but if u were charged as adult it stay until u get it sealed
i know with my felonies and missdemenors (sp) when i went to court for them i had to work everything out with the judge at that time, and once i did my probation and all that bs, it was expunged off my record, but i think that if you dont work something out when you first go to court, its there for life, unless you know someone that is in the legal department or the gov.
actully after 7 years you can go to the court house if its your first offence and have it removed, then you will be able to vote and buy a gun and so-on.
