Default Auto loans and Credit Unions

I would like to know if credit unions allow you to buy a car from a private seller. I also would like to know about the typical requirements and anyone's experience they have had with credit unions.

Yes, credit unions will allow you to buy from a private party. The maximum amount they'll loan you for a vehicle is based on the K.B.B. value for said vehicle. For every vehicle I've purchased (and i've purchased a few), my credit union has always provided me with best APR.
