ticket for not having my light on during the day

not sure if this is the correct place but anyhow...just wondering if i have a case here...it was about noon and somewhat cloudy and misty (not raining) with light traffic and a cop pulls me over and gives me a ticket for not having my lights on?? i wasnt the only car on the road with there lights not on, i mean i still saw very well to and didnt have to use my wipers often. any help would be great. thanks

Yeah anytime you use the wipers for a mist or rain headlights gotta be on its gay but the law
