I just received an email today from the address [email protected]. It seemed legit, however I found it odd that it didn't specify which account it was referring to, and the only way to log in was to give my SS# or ATM and pin number. The text in the email was as follows:
Dear valued WellsFargo ® member.
THIS MESSAGE IS FROM OUR Wells Fargo Customer Service TEAM This message is sent
automatically by the computer.
If you are receiving this message it means that your Wells Fargo online account has been queued for deactivation: this was as a result of a continuous error script (code:505)received from your Account. To resolve this problem you must reset your Wells Fargo account.To verify your account, please download the attachment below to verify your Account.
Wells Fargo Security Upgrade
Note: Providing a wrong information or ignoring this message will resolve to the deactivation of your Account.

There was also an HTML file attached to the email that sent me to what appeared to be a Wells Fargo account log in page. What's ironic is the way I found this was a fraudulent email was by calling the 800 numbers I found on the page that they linked me to. Anyway, beware of something like this!
