Okay. Here's the deal. Ive worked for 4 different roofing/construction companies. Ive run the crews, made the sells, been the climbers. I am now an adjuster for the insurance companies.

The deal with roofing companies is this.

They are out to make money, and any single cent they can squeeze out of someone they will. This means the customers. This also means you. If you don't make sure you get paid, you will get screwed. Trust me. I have multiple lawsuits with different companies over money owed.

Roofing/Construction companies are nothing much but a bunch of sleezy salesmen. Yes, Ive been that sleezy saleman. It works, it makes you money but its a fucked up job in the end. You burn shitloads of gas, and only make comission. It realistically takes you 2 months to get your first check.

I got out of that game and became an adjuster and I am much happier. Yes, it cost a good bit of money for my licensing and yes it cost me time and money to work with these companies to figure it all out. But I know both sides of the business and its a tough one to be in.

I am not saying don't take the job, I am saying its not easy, its not the most ethical thing (look how many companies are out there, sooooooo much competition) and honestly only getting paid like once a month sucks dick.

    Some questions for you...
    1. What company are you interviewing with?
    2. What do they pay per job, it will either be percent of job or percent of profit.
    3. How big is their office?
    4. Do they keep talking about how much money so & so made last month?

Do respond, I'll give you a heads up with what their deal is. I probably know 80 percent of all the roofing/hail damage claim companies in GA. I know many owners and project managers from the type of work I do.

I will also tell you this, the hail damage claim game started in 07 when those crazy ass storms fucked Atlanta up and the CNN building and such. Since we have gotten storms here and there but nothing as big. If this spring does not bring hail, there will be no new territories for the roofing companies and only the leads that were from other customers will be new claims.

If you have other questions, feel free to PM me. If you really need to talk, I'll PM you my number and well chat when I have some time to talk .
