I specialize in forex, but i put play money in stocks. Will be trading corporate bonds once I pass my series exams. Anyone else been enjoying the long slide the dollar has been taking against the euro? ps by long i mean the past 4 months lol. easiest money ever made IMO. Personally I've pulled in over 2200 pips of profit.
Thats awesome, what size lots are you trading?
I definitely want to learn more about FOREX, and eventually shift trading it almost exclusively. I like that its very based in technical analysis a lot of the time, and less subject to bullshit manipulation like stocks. Can you recommend any good books for it?
You'd be surprised. Positive numbers have been released all week for the $ but the Euro has had a strong bullish trend for well past obama's speech on the 8th. It has its own set of market movers, that's for sure.
I'm a finance/econ major. I can honestly say I've never read any books on it. I self taught myself the majority of the technical analysis, although I primarily stick to the fibonacci retracement and moving averages not to mention my own strategies. One thing you will learn is everyone's calculations are different (because its subjective of points you use and time frame). Everyone must come up with their own strategy and approach, what works for me wont necessarily work for someone else.
