i wanna get back on beda real bad but have most of my money on these stocks.....
are you still in it DP?
hows that stock doin tony?
Yes i'm still in beda, added more today at .0017
I now have:
BEDA
EIGH
CDIV
GRNO
so how do YOU know when to hold em and fold em......
what are the things you look at....
well first of all, when I am daytrading....buying and selling for me depends almost entirely on charting and watching level II
Long term holds takes homework, contacting companies, getting to know employees, knowing what they are fundamentally "worth"
I have had some excellent teachers, and I learn new things EVERY day. The best thing to do is read read read. When i'm looking at a long term hold, i'll typically call the company and act like I am from out of town, but moving and would like to know who to send my resume to.
After that I get a couple of names and contact lower people in the company, asking them how they like their job, why they work there, etc etc. Never trust a CEO or Investor Relations person....they are paid to make the company look good and will not always give you up front and honest answers for fear they may drive you away as an investor.
Contacting as a potential employee is ingenious because other employees won't typically try and bs you, and aren't trying to sell you on the benefits of investing in them lol.
In terms of BEDA, I am keeping up with how many shares are shorted daily in terms of % of volume to see when shorts might start to cover. The company, with upcoming acquisitions, is valued in the .05-.10 range (long term) but due to being naked shorted, and the company about to buyback shares, I will not sell until that news comes (whether that is good or bad)
You have to pay attention to levels of support and resistance in stocks. Today, I watched beda run near the close and knew that .0025 was major resistance, so I sold there and repurchased my shares at .0021 on a quick pullback (support was then .0020)
Let me know whenever you've got questions, I will help all I can!
thats a pretty savy was of investigating companies....
so with beda your were looking at level 2 when you decided to sell and re up at 20.
is that because there were people holding shares at lower prices and you wanted it to look like you were a new investor with interest. sorta adding to the volume for the moment? is this correct or......no.
i use scottrade and i dont think i have level two reporting...... so.... kinda sucks because i think it would help alot to spot potential indicators... or pitfalls....
one thing im having a hard time with is spotting support levels.....early enough to make a move.... know what i mean.
would level 2 help?
charting will show you support and resistance levels, although level II will show them to you in real time when the stock is near one or the other....support you will usually see a lot of buys rattle off at the support (or a lot of sells and the pps fails to fall below support) and at resistance you typically see some sells start to rattle off (these are usually people that are trading based on the chart, or have been holding the stock since that level before it fell below the price, and just want out even)
Scottrade has level II in scottrade Elite I believe, but they don't have level II for pinksheets stocks (like beda)
I use the level II feature on etrade pro (known as market trader on etrade pro)
Today I sold at 25 because:
1) I knew it was major resistance on the chart (it is the 200 day simple moving average...and sma's typically act as support/resistance)
and
2) I was watching level II, saw that buys were going through but a lot more sells were going through and market makers were starting fall off the bid of .0024 and stacking at 23 and 22...so it was an indicator to me that the price was on the verge of retracing
I wasn't 100% sure i'd be able to get back in at a lower price, and you take that risk sometimes, but it had run from .0018 to .0025 in about 20 minutes, so it was asking for a retracement of some sort, so I put a new order to buy at the support of .0020, which means I actually put my order to buy at .0021 since the bid/ask would be .002/0021 if it fell to support (which was resistance until we blew through it 10 minutes earlier)
I cannot stress this enough, but you CANNOT effectively daytrade or really trade at all (effectively) without having access to level II. It lets you know which market makers is the hammer in a stock (a hammer is the mm that typically controls a lot of the price action in a particular stock) and if you can determine the hammer, and trade with the hammer MM...you will make money
Also, other than the hammer, you can pick up trends in the way a stock trades. In the case of BEDA: When MM's stack on the bid, and the MM's thin out on the ask, the price is about to move up....the opposite is true for the price falling. I have traded beda based on those principles alone and i'm already playing with "free" shares due to this.
hey just saw on the news today..... 11 more airports to get this system.....
the first system was approved in the past days..... and it hasnt been made public until today on cnbc....
stock is VLYF
would you mind looking at it and giving me your opinion.... i think its an up and comming piece that will be utilized world wide..... at all inteernational airports
haven't had a chance to look at it yet, but are you watching beda and eigh today?
Yep...GREEN
lol..... 0027....grrrrrrrrrrrr
not too shabby, huh??
Needs to close above .0025 to be above ALL resistance
lol i wish i stayed in it longer...... but.... i did make a little on it....so all in all im not upset with it at all.... just very impressed...on hsm.com they are saying it will hit 50.
lol
see how quickly people's attitudes change on that forum!!
lol
lol. i was getting pissed off at beda.... then it pop'd and i was like DAMN IT BEDA now i really hate you... lol
are you still in it...
im looking for another entry point this week.... maybe round thursday
yes I am still in it. It's above all the sma's now...so i'm not sure if we will see much red this week, but who knows.
good for you man.... i bet your gonna make a killing on it.....
im in on 8000inc..... well see how that one works...
cdiv hasnt done anything.... and im thinkin about dumping that one....
one of my picks is iweb and its slowly catching up.....
im gonna hold iweb for a month or so.... as well as vlyf.
im selling q and going to put that into high risk..... so..... beda watch out lol
any news on the new stock picks yet?
Don't sell your CDIV, they are expecting that one to run to $2 any day now lol.
I would put all my money in BEDA, CDIV, EIGH, and GRNO right now and watch the green roll in
do you post on HSM??? or ihub?
No on HSM, and I mostly just read over at ihub.
ugly day today
so whats this weeks plans?
Sold BEDA at .0026, .0022, and .0021 last week all for a double at the very least. Also picked up some on the dip to 17 and flipped them at 20 on friday for a quick gain.
I will be picking up more CDIV this week for sure. I don't really plan on playing anything other than EIGH/GRNO/CDIV for a while.
im on a new track this week.....
vlyf is steady jumpin..... entered at 2 and it has hit 2.70... i see this stock going way up and a great long termer...
q is still doing its thing....
have you ever not been able to buy a stock??? something about liquidity??? scottrade wont let me buy it because its restricted or something..... not sure...
its got huge volume and lots of potential
Yeah most traders call it "sucktrade" for a reason.
scottrade's ceo is on the board of directors for Knight Capital Management, which runs the market maker NITE.
So if NITE is short on shares or in a bad spot in a certain stock, Scottrade just shuts down buys for it and gives you some BS line about liquidity and says that they are only trading "paper" shares and they don't want you to lose money blah blah blah
Switch to Etrade, Just2Trade, or Zecco
Hope you own EIGH/CDIV/GRNO and hold onto them. If you think vlyf is a good "long term" investment, EIGH/CDIV/GRNO could all easily see $2-$20 in the next few months.
lol "long term"
only reason i like vlyf is what is about to spark with their full body scanners. its mostly speculation and putting two and two together......
vlyf stock jumped to 2 in january...... an undisclosed airport was the test bed for a low dose scanner. (was LAX) and last sunday cnbc aired that 11 more airports were set to get body scanners and begining march was the final government testing for the valley forge scanner.... sooo its pretty much summed up that they are about to get a bunch of moolah .....
well see..
Hope you bought CDIV
Up 30% today, and that is ONLY the BEGINNING of the run.
Don't say you weren't warned, again lol
lol good job..... i sold cdiv for a profit a while back.....
right now im waiting for apcvz to get shook loose...... so many people shorting it right now.....but.....im holding
Hope you plan on buying back in....I'm not even going to contemplate selling a single share until $5 and probably won't let go of my shares until $10
Up another 24% today
Very good move
FSNM i like long term, mark this post at .62
And still in KATX @ .038
Good moves Tony! I've taken advantage of some manipulated lows in CDIV and am now up very large with the close @ .48 today. New investors coming in on this one every day, and the mm's keep trying to short it to death with no luck.
Should be over $1 very soon, and I don't plan on selling a share in my account or my clients' accounts until at least $8
Good play Tony! Hope you took some profits...major sell volume the past few days.
CDIV now on REGSHO list as of today....may the fun begin :goodjob:
Yeah the sell off was expected after earnings released, when it hits bottom I'll reinvest and rinse and wash.
Good move! CDIV headed back up again the last few days. From watching L2 and keeping track of the daily short totals, it appears that the market maker UBSS is beginning to slowly cover their short position. A ton more green is in store for CDIV. Please don't miss a 1000% gain here
