So what was your schooling like? Im heading towards the medical field after high school/college. Did you get a 4 year degree then go to emory or something else. And is it always necessary to get a science based degree like biology before going to med school?

    4 years of undergraduate education
    4 years of medical school
3-7 years of residency (depending on the field you go into)

you cannot get into medical school without a college degree.

get a degree in whatever field you want, just take the necessary pre-requisitie courses for medical school (general chemistry + lab, organic chemistry + lab, general biology + lab, physics + lab). a resource you should check out, if you haven't already, is www.studentdoctor.net
