There are alot of different options.

Financials are extremely undervalued right now. If you can wait it out there is alot of profit to be made in those.

Same with tech stocks, they've been taking a beating as of late.

depends on what you want in the investment.... do you want to buy a growth stock o a value stock?

Energy's are looking tempting now especially with GE being contracted over by Iraq and what not (not including big warren dropping $5 billion on them.... I imagine he's pretty confident in their future to invest that kind money). Financial's are questionable at this point... not necessarily undervalued.

if ur going to buy stocks that are cheap right now you better be ready to invest long term itll be a while for the stocks to go up again, but your right it is the perfect time.

a way to look for good stock its to go to yahoo and then go into finance, search any stock your interested in buying and choose interactive from the left side menu and then its going to give u a graph, at the bottom choose ytd and the on top click technical indicators and on the 2nd blank put 200 after that choose compare and its going to give you other stocks that are similar to the one you are researching, it will then show u a graph showing the difference between them and which one is better to invest on.

hope u understand and hope it helps

most of your larger banks like Bof A, Citi Wells Fargo arent going anywhere in the near future. hey are all extremely low right now and they are stuggling a little, but if you are only looking at the long term then you can get stocks that will be 2x-5x their current price in the next 3 years. Also, you can re-invest any dividends you get from those stocks into more shares of them.
