    Mine did, and I'm beyond happy about that.

    down from $3600 to mid 2000 range.

    I will call the county regarding freezing it at that rate.

    thats because the value of your house went down that much. If you dont plan on moveing though, who cares if it going to save you ~1500 a year.

    It's an understandable factor that lots of homeowners are dealing with. The real benefit is applying for a freeze so when the values go back up, the taxes will not reflect the increase.
