    Default Auto Insurance Question

If I was involved in an at fault accident and got ticketed, however the ticket/charges were dismissed, and my MVR is clean, how long is it till its completely off my record?

typically anything on your MVR is there for 3 years. For major offenses such as a DUI or hit and run it can be longer though.

Theres nothing on my MVR though. I looking at switching insurance companies, and they were pulling accident info from this thing called CLUE or Comprehensive Loss Underwriting Exchange. I was wondering how long it takes for that to go away.

i work for an insurance company and we only look back 35 months on mvr reports. however, they have just put in place an initiative to check them everytime your policy renews. just an fyi...although sometimes you can get away with them not finding out if you dont trigger something (like a change in coverage) to have the reports ran again. hope that helps.
