Depends on the location really on how long it will take to "recover".

In some places it wasn't really a housing market sucking it was values returning to where they would have naturally been and not the outrageous growth they gain in the early 2000's.

In others like Cali and Jersey they dropped like rocks because they were gaining HUGE values every year...

Exactly, but in GA, there is land being developed like crazy. Sure Atlanta, and the metro area are growing, but not as fast as the properties being built.

In 3 years you will be able to pick and choose even more where/how much to buy.

To go along with this and not READING. Try Ohio... our market is down so low u can buy most anything u want. Because in the long run, people will return when things are moving back up (in 5-10yrs) Only cuz I live here is probably why I mentioned it but still.
