Thats the thing. The customers dont spend money, thats what you pay for on house insurence. Yes there is a deductable, alot of the times it can be taken care of if the contract is decent. If not, its like 1000 bucks tops.Originally Posted by Motivation
Now granted yes, 1000 dollars is alot of money. However 1000 is alot better than 10,000 to fix the roof in the first place.
And finally the legal aspect of it. When someone files a claim about their house, it is completely illegal for the insurence company to raise that particular persons rates as long as its not for maitainence reasons. However, they can raise the rates for an entire area so essentailly if you live in the area, you are already paying for it in the first place. You might as well get what your paying for.
That makes a hell of alot of sense to me personally.
