    Default Speed Traps

I figure this was the right section to post this in, I mean it is a way for the city to make money.

    Anyway, here you go.

This is interesting. When you get the web site up, click on the state. Then the next window is a listing of all the cities in that state. Click on your city and there are the speed traps listed.

I was surprised to find it works!

    SPEED TRAPS!

I had no idea this was available to everyone.

I mean... look at this quote: Other's Comments - 1/2008 - I was pulled over for almost not stopping at the exit ramp of Rt. 52 in Hanging Rock. He actually told me, You almost didn't stop. I asked him if they pulled people over for almost speeding and he said, sometimes.

There's a few sites, just search for "Speed Traps GPS" etc.

what do you guys know about CV scanners or whatever?

Ive been wanting to get a portable hand-held one.. but I don't know too much about them. If i get one is it nec to get an external antenna to add to my car one of those "whip" antennas or whatever they call them?

I've got the best tactic ever for avoiding speed traps.... don't speed. Getting there a few min faster isn't worth the potential ticket and usage of more gas.

Most of my drives are very long and i find it normal to be cruising at about 75 miles an hour on the highway. HOWEVER 75 miles an hour is 20 over so I do like to keep something to help me avoid any kind of ticket.

I'm currently using the Escort 9500i, and I would love to get one of those hand-held scanners just to update me on traffic, weather, and even police officers laser traps. If anyone knows a bit about scanners I would love the info
