You speak like we did not put those people in power. It is the responsibility of the people to instill government. Read from the declaration of independence:

That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness.
That status quo can be changed, trust me we are witnessing history not because a black man is running for president but rather someone inspires people to go out and make a difference.. its a feeling that has not been felt in this generations lifetime and I think tomorrow the people will make a statement that will be heard at every corner of the globe.
