Obviously in 2008 there is a HUGE election, but there are some things that may seem like common sense to most but a lot do not know.
First of all if you plan on voting in the Primaries to elect a candidate for your political party you will need to register at least 30 days before the election. Super Tuesday (the day that primary elections will take place) is February 5th, this means you will need to register to vote before January 7th.
The Presidential election will be on November the 4th, again you will need to register to vote 30 days before the election or you will not be able to vote. That means don't bring your ass on IA complaining about the new president if you did not do your part. So you will need to register before October 6th.
A lot of us here are in our 20's and candidates do not take our votes seriously as is, its a big election with a lot of consequences so as lame as this post may sound please at the least get out there and vote.

If you are registering for the first time in Georgia you'll need to:
- mail a copy of the identification with your voter registration application
- providing a copy of the identification to the registrar during the absentee voting process.
