Type in your companies name and see what they are paying others. Definately good for IT people. Helped me get an extra 10% in my pay. Of course, they still cut me 20%, but better than 25%.

hey david what you do and are they hiring?
I been trying to get a IT job since 2004.
Every job I applied for the person knew someone working there and got the job.
Nowadays its who you know rather than what you know. shame.
What education do you have? Being around computers a lot won't get you past the automated filters these days. Only way any big companies will take a look is if you have the right degrees or certs as well as some experience.Originally Posted by dsgb
I don't think the site is too accurate. It says I'm being paid in the 94th percentile for my job title. Salary.com says I'm in the 75th percentile. I still think I'm underpaid but my salary has already gone up over 40% in the last two years and I was paid at the 50th percentile when I got out of college. I get the feeling they're using fairly old data for IT people b/c I haven't seen any of my co-workers being paid that low but then again I have the same job title as guys 20 years old than me.
