Is there a reason why WE have to turn the other cheek and every other country just does whatever they damn well please????? France and Germany weren't too worried about pissing US off and US cutting THEM off when they turned their backs on us. There are lots of third world countries that we funnel millions of all of our tax dollars to try and help, only to have it line the pockets of politicians or better yet when we need something they simply tell us to Fuck off......

My answer to your question is simply this: What do you think is going to go thru the minds of THOSE countries if they knew WE are for real? Who needs who the most?

Yes isolation is not good. Yes we need certain things from certain countries. But in all honesty and in the majority, we can certainly do without the greater majority of all those leeches (sp?) and still be perfectly fine. Besides if we get rid of so much overseas charity and hand outs, we may even have money left over to buy or make or build our own stuff w/o the need to go elsewhere. What is France doing for us right now? What do we get from them? Then why would we need them?
